Pacer Goose Logistics LLC is a new growing company that is focused on providing a safe, stress-free, and fulfilling work environment for our CDL drivers. Pacer Goose drivers are made up of both company drivers and owner-operators. More freedom and flexibility are achieved through our company via the self-dispatch owner operator program and no force dispatching for our company drivers. Currently, we are looking for highly motivated, skilled truck drivers to lead the way in our initiative to build. We believe that by facilitating our drivers with the tools to make good decisions and transparency of information, we will create a highly productive leg in the supply chain logistics arena. Each truck is outfitted with PrePass and EZ Pass to reduce unnecessary time spent in toll lines and conducting DOT inspections. Reporting the status of cargo operations is made easy through our friendly mobile device app. Our drivers currently carry dry-van cargoes, and we also accept power-only owner-operators.
How did we get our name? For a small logistics company, we have a big name. Actually, a "pacer goose" is not a bird at all. It is the name given to a special ship voyage that only happens once a year. James Wade, the founding member of Pacer Goose Logistics LLC, was a part of this ship voyage to the Thule, Greenland Air Force Base (Greenlandic: Qaanaaq Mitarfik, Danish: Thule Lufthavn) on a supply replenishment mission. The voyage starts on the East Coast of the United States during the summer months of the Northern Hemisphere, loading all the supplies and equipment necessary onto a cargo ship for the vital operations at the Thule, Greenland Air Force missile detection base. This military installation was established during the Cold War as an early detection warning system. As a young sailor just beginning his career, he loved adventure and discovery. The vessel made its transit North along the East Coast, across the Grand Banks, past Nova Scotia, and through the Labrador Sea to the northernmost deep-water port in the world capable of docking large ships. Over the course of this two-week trip, the water got colder, the icebergs larger, the nights shorter, and the days longer. The entirety of the trip is too
long to discuss but it did involve glaciers, polar
bears, and untouched nature. These are the
experiences that he lived for. These
are the experiences that created
Pacer Goose Logistics LLC.
